SAXONY
GENERATION XVIII: |
|
INTRODUCTION:
The family suffers greatly from their losses
sustained during the 3O Years' War.

of the 30 Years’ War in Colochau 1618 - 1648
The source for all the Birth, Marriage, and
Death Dates are taken from Prof. Grygier's Book, which are primarily
found in the genealogical charts. All other sources are identified.
Dr. Grygier, the former director of the Polish
State Archive in Olsztyn, was commissioned in 1989 to research
and write the history of the Dressel family in East Prussia
for 1717 to 1840 based on secondary sources because the church
records from Willenburg, the principal Dressel residence, were
destroyed. Dr. Grygier spent the next three years searching
secondary archival sources to reconstruct the Dressel presence
in East Prussia, which is today Northern Poland.
Dr. Grygier’s manuscript is an excellent
example of what a family researcher can discover in secondary
sources available today in Polish State archives.
Dr. Grygier’s research supplied sources for
the XVIII, XIX, XX, XXI, XXII, and generations.

Wife of Peter: |

??
|
|
It is believed that Peter married a daughter
of a textile manufacturer (n2)
Since there are no known documented children
between 1695 and 1722, it is possible that Johann born in
1722 and George who was born in 1724 were from a second marriage and younger wife.
