this miniature is painted on wood and in the style of

period portrait or subsequently commissioned.
The portrait’s Dressel nose and his Italian type clothing
may have something to do with his nickname “Georg the
Italian”

When they finally returned, their father "Tham von der Droessel"

them even a Groschen for their benefit, they had to arduously
work for strangers, and stay with other good people. They
participated in their cousin Guenther's Colochau Fief, which
he on Feb.17, 1650 petitioned for the Fief because he, "Guenther"
thought that we were dead and to seek for us the "gesamte Hand.
The brothers petitioned, "Gnade vor Recht ergehen zu lasssen,"
that they be given the "gesamte Hand" on "Guenther's estate,
a5.2 (his request was obviously not granted)
Comment: Each time a lord or a vassal died,

which "Georg Caspar" (their father) and his absent cousin, "Guenther"
inherited from the late "George von der Droessel of Colochau";
he also petitions for himself (Bernhardt Friedrick) and the
other associate participants in the Fief, in the event they
are still alive, who are absent and are serving in War and not
knowing of "Georg Caspar's" death, therefore not able to apply
for associate participation in the Letters of Fief
and the "gesamte Hand" themselves, asks for them and the "agnati"
the "gesamte Hand," right of succession in the Letters of Fief
and a 1 year "Indult" and for the "Muthzettle," a5.2
1646: Dec. 10, Chancellory, Dresden, Saxony,

von der Droessel's" Schlieben and Colochau estates, the last
estate(Colochau) was inherited by "Guenther and the late George

Friedrick" writes to the Prince Elector; that his father "Bernhard"
is dead; that when he was 8 or 9 years old he was sent

and Cuntz" were dead; that from the Letters of Fief it can be
seen his father was not the only fief participant, and also
in the succession of the "gesamte Hand;"??; that he (Bernhard
Friedrick) does not know whether his father's papers were burned
in Luckau, or if his minority in the Fief and for the "gesamte
Hand were registeres; he begs forgiveness for the error in the
Fief and petitions for a (Muthzettle) regarding the Fiefs
of Colochau and Schlieben,?????, a5.2.

or he ever had the "gesamte Hand" in these estates, "kann man
nicht unbillig Bedenken tragen" ??, a5.2.
1650: Jan. 17, "Bernhard Friedrich" is listed
as a Fief participant in Colochau, see XI.23, 1650, Jan. 17.
1650: May 15, He is listed as "Bernhard Friedrich
