1293: April 11, Salzungen, Iohannes de Benhusen is a witness for Henry lord of Frankensteins business transaction with the Frauensee monastery.

1309: Aug. 15, Wartburg, Knight Iohannes de Benhusen is a witness for the land count Fredericks business transaction with the Frauensee monastery.

1310: Feb.  Iohannes de Benhusen appears as a witness for a business transaction pertaining to the monastery of Frauensee.

1314: Sep. 15, Johann von Bennhausen used the family seal to witness the document. The seal is identical to the seal later used by Gunther von der Dresule on February 6, 1361.

1330: May 12, Iohannes de Benhusen, the knight Apelo de Wilbrechterode and Bertoldus Cralucke appear as guarantors of a loan from the monastery of Frauensee to the brothers Ludwig and Apel von Kraynberg, for the amount of forty pound.
