archival sources to reconstruct the Dressel presence in
Dr. Grygier’s manuscript is an excellent example of what a family researcher can discover in secondary sources available today in Polish state archives.
Dr. Grygier’s research supplied sources for the XXII, XXI, XX, XVIX, and XVIII generations.
This was an example of a pedigree required by the Russian government for a nobleman to “legitimize” (prove) his nobility in order to claim tax benefits.
